FAQ
Common questions about buying a dump trailer from Jon’s. Don’t see yours? Call the yard.
Do I need a gooseneck hitch, or will a bumper pull work?
A 14ft bumper pull hauls a full load behind a 3/4-ton or one-ton pickup with a standard hitch. You only need a gooseneck for the heaviest bulk loads or bigger jobs. Tell us your truck and what you haul and we will point you to the right trailer.
Are your trailers titled and road-ready?
Yes. Every trailer is titled, wired, greased, hoist-tested and California road-legal before it leaves the yard. You can hook up and haul the same day in most cases.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, financing approvals usually take minutes. We also welcome trade-ins — bring your old trailer and we will apply its value to your purchase.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We offer a fixed flat-rate shipping fee of $460 for delivery anywhere in the continental USA, with typical lead times of 7–14 business days. Local delivery within Bakersfield and the USA is usually next business day. Hawaii, Alaska and international shipments are quoted separately.
What GVWR do I need?
GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is the max the trailer can legally weigh loaded. Match it to your load and your tow vehicle’s capacity — we spec every unit for California road and load rules.
Can I inspect the trailer before buying?
Absolutely. Walk the yard on Rosedale Highway, check the welds, run the hoist and verify the title before any money changes hands.
Do you sell parts and service after the sale?
Yes — tarps, hydraulic service, axles, brakes and parts. We stand behind what we sell.
